Hi there – I was grooming Coal tonight and thinking about how much we owe you and I wrote a little testimonial – you know I could go on forever but this is it in a nutshell!

Coal was 4 when I adopted him, a wonderful black PMU rescue – I probably had no business adopting a young horse as I was an intermediate rider on a good day. My original trainer moved to Australia and Coal and I were left on our own – we were working with another trainer who had labeled Coal lazy and disrespectful and used a stud chain on him. After one particularly bad training session, Coal and I were walking home – I was crying and had decided that I could not give him the home and skill that he needed, I felt my only option was to sell this beautiful horse. Steve stopped me on the street and said: “I’ve been watching your lessons – you have a great horse there and I would love to help you.”

That was a year ago and Coalie and I have made great strides. Coal has blossomed under Steve’s gentle and fair tutelage – he is soft as butter and so willing and kind. As for me, I have overcome much of the fear and negativity I held so close and am a much more confident and knowledgeable rider.

Coal and I are FOREVER in debt to Steve for making our dreams come true – we are well on our way to being true partners in our riding life and we have Steve to thank for that.
